Starting the Conversation:                                                    Identifying Values and Goals at the End of Life                      May 21 at 7 PM

It may be the most important conversation you start all year.

How do you begin the talk with loved ones about their goals – and yours – for quality of care at the end of life? All too often, these conversations take place during stressful periods of illness, or worse, never happen at all.

Mary F. Mulcahy, MD, and Randi Belisomo, DBe founded Life Matters Media to help provide information, resources and support for everyone involved in end of life decision-making. Through professional and personal experience, they understand that communicating early can lead to better quality of care and quality of life later.

Since its founding in 2013, Life Matters Media’s work throughout the region and online has inspired thousands to consider, communicate and document their end of life preferences. It’s digital resource, lifemattersmedia.org, has been hailed by The New York Times as a “website to visit” and its programming has been described as “passionate, lively and enlightening” by The Chicago Tribune.
